Comments for Di Meola, Al, Kiss My Axe

As usual Al shows that he is THE master of the guitar from his beautiful acoustic work to his thunderous electric work. The title track shows that he can still fire up his Les Paul whenever he wants. - Jared Tugwell 12-15-94

This album is hard to come by in Ireland, but it was well worth the money. I had been waiting for it for a long time! I still can't get World Sinfonia though. Pity!

The album cover alone makes this one of DiMeola's best. This album has arguably the best guitar tones DiMeola had ever recorded.

This is a F#@cking great album I play it when I feel mellow or just need to hear some great jazz. If you can, help me. I come from a musically deprived place. Most everybody listens to top 40 and need more info on the latest happenings like concerts, and hopefully get the rest of my friends into it. LATERS.........

Al's definitive electric album to date, and I like them all. The tour was as good as the recording, and it's also available on Laserdisc as Al Di Meola Project Live at the Palladium.

This is Al's return to the electric sound of the late 70's and early 80's, blended with smooth, mature writing he has developed over 20 years. This is the CD for those of us who remember energy of his Les Paul. He has now successfully split his electric and acoustic projects among two groups. Check this out!

Wow! What a player! He has inspired me to strive for greater hights in my guitar playing. Those latin beats are somethin' else!

Illinois must be some sort of land of hicks because anyone I talk to on this campus has never heard of Al. Too much corn in this state i guess, but at least i realize that this album was a return to the electric sound that first interested me in Al's music. Mellow at times but still full of electric fury.

Great record, best electric album since Splendio Hotel.
