Al`s second electric album for the Mesa/Bluemoon/Tomato labelis certainly not the all out fusion fare of Kiss my Axe. This one is toned down, and sort of disjointed, its structure and choice of tunes oddly similar to Splendido Hotel. You will not find many searing licks among the many different kinds of songs, but they are all lush and rich sounding. Gone is the Les Paul, and in its place a big fat Gibson Di Meola model jazz electric guitar. Listen for a lullaby, a Chick Corea tune, a country sounding song and some international stuff as well.
