Comments for Dinosaur Jr., Green MindE-MAIL: joeland@matt.ksu.ksu.edu **** (5 star scale) Major label debut proves to be J mascis' best effort so far. Lots of guitar soaked cuts, but not lost in the reverb like previous efforts. PRIME CUTS: the whole side one is a doozy. --j.teelE-MAIL: RFLOWER@ibm.COM I never heard the album, so I really can't say. However, I've been told it rules.E-MAIL: dinojrfrk.aol.com Green Mind is the best album! In the Green Mind is by far his most expressive song regarding people. Well, one of them. J IS GOD!E-MAIL: mcauburn@iinc.com In my own opinion only, this is the worst Dinosaur Jr recording ever. The vocals are not nearly as passionate, the band sounds mediocre, if that. The basic structure of the songs leave much to the imagination. I suppose this disc is only for the true fans.E-MAIL: NAC Good songs, bad songs, you know you get your share. Not an all-out great album, but some fine songs throughout, most notably The Wagon. Inarguably Dinosaur Jr`s finest record. On Dino`s latestrecords J Mascis sounds confused and depressed but on GreenMind he actually is, due to chaotic internal problems in theband, including the departure of bassist Lou Barlow. The songs are powerful and so are J`s performances.djayd@hotmail.com I think this album is awesome, I have listend to pretty much the entire back back catalogue and this album and "where you been", in my opinion, are their two finest albums. This band have a distinct sound and overall I think they just sound wicked, bad lyrics or not. this album especially I can listen to over and over.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
