The Jar of Flies album proves that Alice in Chains can not only belt out good hard music, but can relax into smooth melodies (but still with an edge to it). Their best album by a fair bit.

This is a cool Alice In Chains album but it's sorta short. A wierd mix of stuff.....VERY COOL!! I am now an Alice In Chains fan. I used to not like them cause I hate "Man In the Box", but this is kinda different.

I think this is Alice in Chains best CD ever! If you think that all Alice in Chains is is a heavy metal band then you need to listen to this album. This band has talent and they let it shine through in this album.

does anyone know if their performance on mtv unplugged will be put out on an album?

There has been a MTV Unplugged album out for a long time- and it kicks ass. By the way, jar of flies was my first and best Alice album, but now I'm hooked. I could listen to nutshell a thousand times in a row.

I have found this to be a more acoustic based album but it really has all the quality we have come to expect from Alice in Chains.

This album is beautifully diverse and is AiC at it''s best. I can''t live without it and listen to it about twice a day!! It makes me cry all the time because it is just so gorgeous.

This is not your mother`s Alice in Chains. Jar of Flies isa collection of some of the coolest jazzy/bluesy/wildpieces of music I`ve ever heard. Do not expect the heavyAlice in Chains of "Man in the Box" and "Rooster". This isway different, but at least as cool. Check this one out!

I've got hundreds of albums (second hand) and I think this is the best acoustic(ish) album of all time
