Comments for Alice In Chains, A Town Like Alice

Truly a great album. One of the five pop wonders of this decade, right up there with Oasis, Backstreet Boys, Spice Girls, No Doubt and Shaggy. The mind-blowing disco jive of "Doping Queen", the stunning and emotional ballads "The Pusher Takes It All" and "My Drugs - My Life", and the charged-up energy of "Losers" make this an unforgettable listening experience. If your taste in music is Nirvana crossed with Aqua, you're going to love this record!

OK, OK, so this record is Alice's best to date. I'm not disputing that. But isn't he singing a little too much about heroin these days? How about a few more "Coke Crazies" and "Speed Demons", Layne? And 'alicesucks@realmusic.com' is a crazy poof. How could he talk about pop wonders and omit a marvelous track like "Lay All Your H On Me"? This song puts hacks like Real McCoy, La Bouche and Corona back where they belong - in the trash can.

STOP COVERING OUR SONGS, FATHEAD!!!!
Alice In Chains are one of the stupidest bunch of druggie losers ever to walk the face of Planet Earth. They don`t even try to DO anything about drugs, just go on moaning and moaning. This wonderfulalbum shows us exactly what Alice are made of. If any intelligent human reads this and gets the parody, please mail me at my REALaddresss : philip@giasmda.vsnl.net.in. Down with Alice! As for the album, it`s rather good. Staley shows us that he can sing in a language other than grunge dialect on"Pushez-Vous". "The Pusher Takes It All" is a touching ballad, as is "Another Joint, Another Drain."And "Doping Queen" is sheer disco energy
