Comments for Dylan, Bob, Blood on the Tracks

In my opinion, one of Dylans best. There is also a pre- recording of this album, whith a mutch more acoustic sound. If you can get a grab on that, donīt hesitate. (a couple of these recordings are included on "The bootleg- series albums). If you do get agrab on it, send me a letter on Mattiasd@lufysik.fysik.lu.se

`Blood' is my favourite album of all times, leaving even The Beach Boys' `Pet Sounds' and Neil Young's `Tonight's the Night' behind. Each of the tracks 1-4 and 7-9 alone would make this a masterpiece. It is remarkable that Dylan's live renditions of these songs (esp. Tangled Up in Blue) are quite different from the album's versions, and show even more Suffering.

Whenever I get a chance I put on "Blood on the Tracks" and just listen. The words and the music just flow together so well. Anyone who does not fall in love with "Tangled up in Blue" does not have a soul.

This album could have been Dylan's greatest. Unfortunately the tracks re-recorded in Minnesota are totally inferior to the original New York versions.

Personally, I think that BOTT is a fabulous album, and from what I've heard from the New York sessions, we got better stuff with the Minnesota sessions. Dylan's phrasing on Tangled Up In Blue is more mature and sincere on the album version than the one on the Bootleg Series, Vol II. Considering what a great album Bob gave us, i don't think we can gripe about this album.

In any event, Columbia should release the full outakes from this album. All are masterpieces and it is a shame to hide them.

What is this pre-recording with more acostics. Does this recording exist and was it pressed on wax? I can''t find anything on it in the collecter books.
