Comments for Echo And The Bunnymen, Ocean Rain

E-MAIL: alvaroazevedo@unn.unisys.com
This is the best Bunnymen record ever made. All the tunes are masterpiece themselves. From great pop songs as "Silver" to deeply self-sensitive ones, like "Nocturnal Me", the record can get everyone who loves music for what it has more power: Shake you in any manner, in any way. Mainly at the emotional level. The lyrics are too beautiful and have to do with all the Great-Britain atmosphere, the sea, the losses and gains of love, the secrets evryone have inside. A must, and probably with "Hatfull of hollow" (The Smiths), "Rattlesnakes" (Lloyd Cole & the Commotions)and "The Joshua Tree" (U2), the best ones at the eighties. The band at its better moment, the higher sky and the bottom of the sea together for ever.
`The Greatest Album Ever Made` ran the publicity on its release. It`s not ,ofcourse, but it comes close. The fourth album from the Bunnymen is regarded bymany as their most accomplished piece of work. Each track is accompanied by fullorchestral backing, which embellishes the emotional intensity of the record and the result is a true masterpiece.`The Killing Moon` is particularly stunning.
