This album gets better with every listen. It's almost worth the five-year wait since their first album. If you liked the first album *run*, don't walk, to your local CD store and buy this album! Just an overall fantastic recording.

Yet another outstanding piece of work from Electronic. The more I listen to it, the better it gets. The blend of guitars and keyboards is great. The great sounds compliment great songwriting.

Yes, absolutely wonderful. A little more slow burning that then best of Album One, but definitely superior, and if you can beat that...The powerful, sweet jangling guitars and Bernard's resigned stoic breathy vocals are perfection

Definitely the best album of 1996. One that can stand up to (or even surpass) New Order's masterpieces i.e. 'Low Life' and 'Republic'. 'Forbidden City', 'For You' (my No. 1 Electronic song), 'Dark Angel', 'Second Nature', 'Out of My League', 'Visit Me' and 'Time Can Tell' are all classics. There's never been a better combination of jangly guitars, cool synths, wry vocals and overall top-notch production. Onwards, Johnny and Bernard!

With such a long wait for a follow-up to 1991''s "Electronic", one is expecting so much from this sophomore effort. Electronic surely delivers with "Raise the Pressure." It is simply amazing how Johnny Marr and Bernard Sumner combine endless layers of original synth concoctions and opulent guitar arrangements. Highlights: "Forbidden City", "Dark Angel", "Until the End of Time", "How Long" and "Time Can Tell." A brilliant recording and such evident progress from two extremely creative musicians promises even more interesting collaborations in the future. Excellent.
The long-awaited second album by dynamic duo Bernard Sumner(New Order) and Johnny Marr (The Smiths). This albumalso features the input of Karl Bartos (Kraftwerk) whoco-wrote 6 of the 13 tracks. The track listing is for theUS release. The first single, "Forbidden City", wasreleased in the UK on June 24. The album was released inthe UK on July 8 and in the US on July 9.
