Comments for Eleventh Dream Day, Beet

Clearly EDD''s finest album, and the only good album Atlantic got from Rizzo & Company. With signature tracks like Between Here and There, Bagdad''s Last Ride, and Teenage Pin Queen, EDD''s "Beet" can be cataloged as one of the best records of all time. While many bands signed to major labels fall victim to compromise and overproduction, EDD keeps a rawness to "Beet" that is hard-edged and addictive. A great band to see live. Rizzo''s tough slide guitar, complemented by the the hard driving rhytyms, makes every EDD song sound like an opener. This band (if you''ll excuse the expression) REALLY ROCKS!

Probably EDD`s best. Guitarist Baird Figi`s bluesyslide guitar adds the finishing touch to "Beet".Now with a sound of their own, they come up with killertunes like "Testify" and "Bomb The Mars Hotel".A must for fans of acts like Yo La Tengo and Antietam.Produced by Gary Waleik (Big Dipper).
