The best Erasure album. Like The Beatles "Rubber Soul" and "Revolver", it represents the cusp of a band's changing creative output. Combining the pop sensibilities of their early works with the deeper reflections of their later songs, the boys have never sounded better. They cover ecological concerns, personal early mid-life crisis' and lovers quarrels in the vein of Eurythmics lyrics. Stand-outs include Am I Right? and Turns The Love To Anger, although every song flows perfectly together. Even if you're a fan of all their other work (as I am) this one is miles above the rest.
