Comments for Fall, The, Extricate

This is where they really started to go off base, substituting modern production for their previous grunge ethic. A lot of this is pointless and plodding, a great big meaningless middle finger upraised at the world. But there are some worthwhile tracks, like "Sing Harpy", "Telephone Thing", "Black Monk Theme" (apparently written by Brix about Mark), and "Bill Is Dead".

Not a lot happening on this LP that's stellar, but "Bill is Dead" makes it well worth owning - a few other fine tracks ("Chicago, Now!"), but I don't play this one much anymore.

This is one of the best Fall albums ever! The best tracks are: Hilary, Bill Is Dead, Black Monk Theme I (written by the Monks), And Therin..., Telephone Thing, Popcorn Double Feature, The Littlest Rebel, I''m Frank... Damn'' it''s just a great album!
