Comments for Ferry, Bryan, Symbols Of The Seven Sacred Sounds

E-MAIL: cwheelie@aol.com
I think that side 1 of 'The Bride Stripped Bare'contains some of Ferry's best songwriting of his late 70's ouevre. If the last track, When She Walks Into the Room, doesn't move you, then you cant be moved!

Having met Bryan several times, I know that the Bride Striped Bare is his least favorite album

While as a whole, not my favorite, some of the cuts individually are classic. i.e. Carrackfergus, This Island Earth, Can''t let go. It almost sounds as if each of the songs were written to be on different albums.
One of Ferry`s solo albums between Roxy Music projects, andnot one of his strongest. His voice sometimes seemsexcessively quavery, and he hasn`t hit the sureness of"Avalon", "Boys & Girls" or "Bete Noire". But he does agood version of "Take Me To The River", and it mayeventually grow on you.
