Comments for Fixx, The, Shuttered Room

"Shuttered Room" was a breakthru for "underground bands" such as the FIXX who had never before gained much attention from the musical establishment until the early ''80s "new wave came crashing in from England to American soil. Though they will probably never get their due in history for pioneering the new wave sound, I believe this album landmarks that fact. The Fixx never equaled this inaugural mainstream recording. Highly recommended!

The first commercial album from The Fixx, "Shuttered Room",contains a genuine, raw sound from each member of the band.The two big songs off this album are "Stand or Fall" and "RedSkies".
