Comments for Foreigner, Mr .Moonlight

Hey, this album was pretty damn good. Why did it get such sucky promotional exposure. I think the album is the best one that I've heard this year. It ranks up there with Van Halen's Balance. Other than that, most music made in 1995 has sucked.

Excellent album. Lou Gramm proves once again that he has one of the best voices in the land. The only problem I have with the album is the lack of real guitar "crunching" songs - like from the "4" days. But overall, one of their best! The production, in my opinion, is excellent. Sounds great turned WAU up.

Great record. Very diverse music on this record. I would prefered to have a more guitar hard sound but the music and the vocals are excellent. I am a little biased since this is my all time favorite band. Keep on rocking guys.

Mr. Moonlight is easily the best album of 1995. Foreigner has been doing this for almost 20 years and they know how to keep making music!!

me parece un buen retorno de este grupo con un buen sonido y buenas canciones, ademas de incluir baladas se incluyen canciones muy rocanroleras..

I agree with most of what's posted above: this is a great album, but I'm a bit disappointed at the lack of "edge" to it. Still, Gramm's vocals shine; "Rain" shoulda been a hit!!

Does anybody remember the guitar solo in the song "I Need You" from their first album? What about the solo in "Woman in Black" from Foreigner 4? I feel this kind of luster is missing in too many Foreigner songs. The perfect example for this album is the song "Real World" - I think it is called. Man, this song could have easily been Foreigner's best song if they had only added a minute (or two) to the guitar solo and maybe added one (or two) more verses before the second chorus. As I see it, what Foreigner needs is to add more "meat" to the lyrics and not turn a two minute song into a 5 minute song by repeating the chorus over and over and over and over.... If they could add this "lyrical meat" to the songs as well as add longer gutiar solos with the clear and consice abilities of Mick Jones then I think they would go to the next level.

"Mr Moonlight" is a great album, one of their best. Every song is good except "Big dog". That song is not necessary on this excellent record. /Regards Andreas in Sweden

"Mr. Moonlight" is truly inspirational. I wasn't old enough to know about Foreigner in their heyday, but I still like the sound, and sometimes the things you say in a CD mature as you get older. That's what "Mr. Moonlight" is all about. Sometimes, it's easy to just sing about love songs, passion songs, whatever, but it's quite another thing to look at life and see the "Real World." Thanx, guys! Miss Lia

I liked this CD but I have to agree with some earlier comments-it needs more of an "edge".I was enthused when I heard the first three songs on The Very Best...And Beyond CD because it showed the band's versatility.Soul Doctor is a hard-driving rocker;Prisoner Of Love is progressive Foreigner;and With Heaven On Our Side is a great ballad. Real World is one of the few rockers on the whole CD and the guitar crunch in the middle of the song was great but it could've been a little longer.

You gotta admit, this is one of those albums that eventually grows on you after repeated listens, sort of like the Scorpions'' 1999 album, Eye II Eye (which I myself haven''t listened to all the way through yet, only in soundclips, but I hope to listen to the entire album eventually.) Anyway, getting back on topic, there are great songs on this album like Under The Gun, Until The End Of Time, Big Dog, Hole In My Soul, etc. Great album. P.S. Is it just me, or has anyone ever noticed that 10 Light Years Away, (from the Scorpions'' 1999 album, Eye II Eye.) sounds like it could have been a leftover from the Mr. Moonlight sessions? No coincidence, considering that song was co-written by Mick Jones....
Lou Gramm returns and is reunited with Mick Jones to producetheir first studio album together as Foreigner since the "Inside Information" album. Bruce Turgon and Jeff Jacobsjoin as new band members of Foreigner.
