OMFG- A MUST BUY---his album is the essence of universality- funkateer or not- this album is one of the deepest albums ever- it gets you melodically, rhythmically- musicians will also love the great players on this album, from bootsy to mike hampton, to the amazing harmonized vocals and bass playing and synth and guitar and....just buy it. my fav songs on this one are cholly (definitely a bassplayer's anthem), groovallegiance (with a skeet curtis bass solo at the end), the title track, who says a funk band cant play rock--- ok every song is great- even the balladesqu (but funky) into you...BUY IT!!!!@#!$@#$!@$#$^
