Comments for Gowan, Strange Animal

If you're a new Gowan fan, be sure to get this album! It's what introduced him to the world.

I loved this album when it came out and I love it even more now. This was the music that proved to the world what a great musician he is.

Well, "Criminal Mind" is just one of THE greatest prog-rock songs I can think of. "Strange Animal" is wonderful and "Guerilla Soldier" is extremely powerful. The bass-line in "Cosmetics" is not to be missed. And "City of the Angels" shouldn't be overlooked--one of his best lyrics, and a great piano part.

Great album, great energy from it. I really enjoyed the videos, too. I find that the people I know who don''t profess to be Lawrence Gowan fans, immediately recognize the songs on this album.
