Comments for Grant, Amy, lead me onE-MAIL: ejb@mhc.edu CD has 2 more songs than cassette. Great music for any mood.E-MAIL: sjohnsto@ccs.carleton.ca The general consensus on the Amy Grant newsgroup is that this is her best album, or at least the one most recommended for people who have heard her pop-oriented albums and want to hear more.E-MAIL: dgymer@gdcarc.co.uk I got this "for free" as a 2 for 1 with Heart In Motion and even as a non-Christian I have to say it's at least on a par with House Of Love. Good stuff!E-MAIL: joyful@nwu.edu To clasify Amy's albums as either "Christian" or "secular" and then judging their merit on that basis is doing her a great injustice as an artist. She is a very talented artist who happens to be a Christian, and her faith is reflected in her songs whether they are directly praising God or talking about being in love. Lead Me On is an awesome album which is not necesarily "Christian" or "secular" - it deals with doubts, marital infidelity - some heavy stuff. And as always, it's just great music.E-MAIL: helen@kpbs.org My favorite Amy Grant album ever. Something about the songs, her voice .. this one is magical. "Heart in Motion" and "House of Love" fans might find this one a little heavy in comparison.E-MAIL: GoateeJazz@aol.com Definitely Amy''s finest Christian release. On the other hand, it''s not a Christian album in the sense that she preaches or moralizes, like some Christian artists (Amy included, in her early days) tend to do. This is an album about life...about needing love ("Saved by Love"), about wanting to be spiritually guided (the title track), about temptations for marital infidelity ("Faithless Heart"), and even moralizing and judging others (the final verse of "What About the Love"). Any fan of great songwriting, Christian or otherwise, will love this superior release from one of the greatest artists of our time. This was the last album she put out before going secular with Heart In Motion. Some real good songs on here. Try it.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
