Comments for Hiatt, John, Slow Turning

Many consider this his best album. Instead of the star studded cast of Bring The Family, here we have Hiatt backed up by his regular touring band of the time, The Goners. The result is a more relaxed and cohesive album. The slide guitar work, while not up to Ry Cooder's standards on the previous record, is provided by Sonny Landreth, and rocks nicely, especially on Tennesee Plates.

Hiatt has earned his reputation as a top knotch songwriter with this album.
