Comments for Husker Du, Everything Falls Apart

I think THIS is the best thing the Huskers ever did, and it will always be my fav. If only Land Speed Record could have been done in the studio, that would probably be my favorite then, but i'll settle for this.

I bought this CD back in 1993 and listened to it every day. It was basically my anthem at that age.
This was a 12-inch 45 rpm EP, for those who remember when music came in frisbee-sized discs that could be played at different speeds. Released on the Hüskers` own Reflex label, it is an intriguing mix of all-out hardcore punk and slower, somewhat more refined material. The flip from side one to side two, with its sudden change of gears, is one the band`s defining moments. To quote Terry Katzman, who says of this record: "If only punk rock could be this good again." The album was re-released as a CD by Rhino Records (R-71163) with several added tracks.Best songs: `Gravity,` `Blah Blah Blah,` `Wheels.` Lowlights: Worst song: `Bricklayer`
