Comments for Iron Maiden, The X Factor

This is definitely a great album. Even though Maiden's previous two albums weren't that great, and they just lost one of the best vocalists in the business, they manage to come up with an excellent album. Blayze is a good vocalist, not as good as Bruce, but with Maiden's sound, they could have a dog doing the vocals and it would still sound great. But no disrespect to Blayze though, he is a very good singer. Anyway, The X-factor is Maiden's best since "Seventh Son." The lyrics, for the most part, are very intellegent and socially relevant. The subject matter is equally cool. The best part of the album is the playing though. You've got to turn this album up as loud as you can get it, because the music is heavy and intense. I'm not going to name my favorite tracks on this album, because I like all of them, with the exception of one. This is a great album, you've got to get it.

Credo che sia l'album migliore dei Maiden, almeno perciņ che riguarda gli ultimi 10 anni.Grande Blaze alla voce, mitico il basso, che č sempre il migliore.

This is the WORST Maiden Album EVER! Every song sounds the same and Steve material is poor. Best song Man on the Edge is about a film 2 YEARS OLD!! LIVE - well Maiden as usual BLAZE at his first UK date (Wolverhampton) was o.k but come back bruce ALL is forgiven. Even Riggs had the decency to leave a sinking ship

Blaze is very weak compared to Bruce. He sounds like he is straining on his vocals. He is not a bad singer but is definetely not as strong as Bruce Dickinson. This does have some good songs though like "Sign of the Cross" and some others. I can't help but think what Bruce would sound like on vocals though.

I don't understand why all peoples hate this album. It is surely better than the previous one (Fear of the Dark) and it has something that taste a little like Seventh Son. I must confess that the new signer (Baley) is not as charismatic as Dickinson is but I'm pretty sure he is the best replacement available on earth.

Some songs are really good(Look for the truth, The aftermath or Judgement) but there are a lot of worse songs. Blaze's voice is also weak - not the best vocalist for Iron Maiden.

Why don't be open to new sound of Iron Maiden ??? A really good album to be heard with new ears... Why this group must follow always the same way to give feelings into music? Buy it and listen more than once.

God,God,God...is this IRON MAIDEN?Like,it sounds like a bad alternative record? In haLF THE SONGS,the solos are merely taped on-some dumb time change some solo, and then back to some dumb tune. The songs that are +WORTH+ listening to are MAn On The Edge(though the lyrics sucK) the Sign of the cross(after being cut in half) and Look For The Truth(but what IS Blaze trying to say?)The WOrst songs are 2AM and The Unbeliever. I only hope that Blaze gets better later on.

i havent heard this and dont plan to - Blaze sucks and so does "Man on the Edge". Maiden seems to have lost their power when Dickinson left.
Good thing blayze left... if he didn't Iron Maiden would be dead...
Wierd and wonderful, the new album has classic Maiden momentslike Sign Of The Cross and Man On The Edge. But new style songslike Look For The Truth, Lord Of The Flies, 2 A.M. and The Unbeliever stand out as my instant faves.

Well, this is one of my favourite Maiden albums! Okay, Blaze ain't Bruce, but i really don't care for the vocals. I'm interested in the guitars and the songs, and they're very good. Everything is perfect, especially Sign Of The Cross. Musically, this is the best since Seventh Son, and I say it's as good as Seventh Son. It's just a bit other. But that's good! It's very dark and melancholic, and i like that kind of stuff. Man, it's just fuckin good!
Blayze may not be bruce but still iron maiden still has the touch they have had since the begining and it is a ok album
