This album must be a classic. For those of you not familiar with Jean Michel Jarre, he is a french musician who plays a wide variey of strange instruments. They are all in fact synthesiers, but are played in different ways. For example laser beams which are brocken to play a note by passing his hand through the beam. His music is instrumental and is very relaxing to listen too. You probably have heard some of the tracks off the Oxygen, album and not even have knew. Above all he is great artist, and has numerios other albums like equinox and China town, So go forth and seek out this classic album, and any of his other material you can get your Hands on

One of the best albums of all time in any musical genre. Also had one of the best album covers.

Yeah, it is a classic album, but that is due to its age. I don't think it was all that great. It was nice, yeah, but his later stuff beats it by far.

Jarre is the best new age music i listen to...he's a real talented musician! It's best listened to laying down, relaxed, and out-of-touch-with-reality....

As someone pointed out, this is considered a classic partually due to the time it has been recorded. The music is introvert, is if uncertain where to go. For a debut it is damn great, otherwise quite strong, but hardly his best.
