i dont know what the deal is with them? i recently heard them say that they dont have enough money and that they are not successful. maybe they should wonder why. i dont get all the rave reviews of the new album. i bought it and it sucked. blue was the only good song. the rest were whiny and annoying. and i love whiny and annoying usually. the lead singers wife victoria williams deserves success. she writes amazing songs and great melodies. i cant speak for the jayhawks lyrics but their melodies are almost nonexistent. so dont buy this album because it really really sucks. thanks

This album DOES NOT suck. In fact it's quite good. If you liked Blue Earth or Hollywood Town Hall (their first two albums), you will definately like this one. Reviews of the this album have been universally positive, and deservedly so. Also, this album really grows on you; you'll like it the first time you listen it, and love it by the 100th listen. Some sample audio & video clips (which give you a pretty good feel for the album) are available at their home page: http://american.recordings.com/American_Artists/Jayhawks/jayhawks_home.html, which give you a feel for the album. Here's a sample of some of the reviews: Here's what the critics thought: "Tomorrow The Green Grass has all the hallmarks of a classic record: Great songs, great singing and seamless instrumentation combine to produce an album that's effortless to listen to over and over again." -Peter Blackstock, Addicted to Noise "This record is a joy ... we believe {The Jayhawks'} time has come." -The Hard Report "With Tomorrow .. the Jayhawks achieve the resplendent, doleful poeticism they've been striving for." -The Philadelphia Inquirer

A good album, too bad the band broke. This is definetly country-rock at its best. Great music for driving across the country and searching for adventure.

A disappointing album after Town Hall, which had a harder edge. Still, enjoyable.

i was not disappointed at all. "I''d Run Away" is a perfect pop song in my opinion. and "Real Light" rocks the hell out of me. every tune is a winner as far as i''m concerned.
