Wonderful retro pop from some excellent musicians. If "That is Why" doesn't move you, I don't know what will. These guys are incredible.

THIS IS AN EXCELLENT ALBUM! I WAS ABLE TO BUY AN IMPORT WITH 5 EXTRA LIVE TRACKS ON IT. IN ADDITION TO NO MATTER WHAT, THE KING IS HALF UNDRESSED, NOW SHE KNOWS SHE'S WRONG, AND BABY'S COMING BACK, THEY ALSO DO A PRETTY GOOD COVER OF PAUL MCCARTNEY'S JET, AND A MEDLEY OF LET 'EM IN AND THAT IS WHY. IF YOU HAVEN'T HEARD THIS BAND BEFORE, I STRONGLY SUGGEST CHECKING THEM OUT. THE "SPILLED MILK" ALBUM IS JUST AS GOOD.

This is an amazing album. If you love The Beatles, you will love this album. What's even more amazing is that it's their first album. Seriously, it is one of my top ten fave albums of all time. Split Milk is also excellent, but get this one first.

I thank the day I stumbled across this album. It is indeed one of the best debut albums I've ever heard. Some of the best vocals and harmonies and just good old pop/rock that you're likely to find! It has its Beatles type influences sure, but these boys can create some stuff only Jellyfish could do. Highlight tracks are "The Man I Used To Be", "I Wanna Stay Home", "That is Why" and "Bedspring Kiss" Get it, it really kicks !

Jellyfish are unashamed Beatles clones - only they're better! With intelligent lyrics, great musicianship and catchy tunes, this band should go far.

Let me tell you, this band changed the whole way I look at music. You'll enjoy this album (and the rest of Jellyfish stuff) if you can appreciate excellent songwriting, superb vocals, and totally awesome musical skill of musicians. I made myself a tape of the 2 albums I have (Bellybutton+Spilt Milk) and this tape was the only tape in my car for a year and a half!!!! It never left the tapedeck. Buy this album. Get used to it... it'll pay off. Believe me.

Nobody mentions the PRODUCTION QUALITY which It is fabulous. Sit back and listen to the layering of instruments and vocals.

As I am writing this I am listening to their Spiilt Milk CD, I absolutely LOVE Jellyfish. I got hooked about 5 years ago and haven''t been able to curb my addiction ever since. Apparently other people love them too, because my Bellybutton CD got stolen! I do remember that I loved it though, I would strongly encourage anyone to give Jellyfish a try.

An absolutely brilliant album that I have continued to listen to over the last ten years. Saw them live at Wembley in '91 and they were great then. A wonderful mixture of retro songs that you'll sing along to for a long time.
