Superb album! It sounds like a bit of Beatles and a bit of Supertramp. Whoever listens to this album will be hooked to jellyfish. too bad they've broken-up.

Power Pop at it's best...

OH MY GOD! One of my favorite band's sophomore release... no jinx here... touches of queen, beatles, genesis (older), and the unmistakable jellyfish sound that includes delicious harmonies mixed with lyrics that will make your head spin! Gotta love 'em!

Such a shame, a really BIG shame this album was the last from the San Fransico rockers. This album is definitely the best album of the 90's so far, without a doubt. It reminds me of early Queen albums, young guys full of excitement and enthusiasm daring to put out stuff that ISN'T going with the trends. This album has it all - and once you hear this stuff, you'll try and find every little thing they ever released which sadly, isn't much. Turn out the lights, grab the best headphones you can find, and blow your friggin' mind baby!

It's Queen meets the Beach Boys. As simple and spectacular as that!

It's unfortunate that people don't make records like this anymore-- even Jellyfish (they broke up) . A masterpeice of a recording. Long live the "songwriter"!!!!!!!!!

Can't add much to the above, except that I agree with y'all, plus. . . I can't listen to the theme from Friends without thinking, "If there were any justice, Jellyfish would have done this instead." One more band to compare them to: Original Soundtrack/How Dare You era 10cc. The harmonies, the wit, the music, it's all there.

This album changed my life too! R.I.P. Jellyfish, I (sadly) don't think we'll be fortunate enough to hear your like again. Major influence. Huge, in fact. When is Andy Sturmer going to treat us to a solo album?

Wow. Just discovered this poppy, proggy, dense masterpiece of sing-along slop from above. Yippee!

I think they sound like a really hip Partridge Family. Really great sound. They are able to harmonize with a good beat to boot. This band really needs to seek peace and get back together. FOR THE MUSIC. FOR THE ART. Joel

What an album. Even years later I can't stop listening to it. The defining moment is the seamless transition and the perfection of the segueway between Hush and Joining a fan club. Pure perfection and beautiful lyrycicysm, on a par with Floyds Brain Damage/Eclipse. I love it! The louder the better!

andy sturmer is a genius . . . what a voice and right up there with bonham and the greats. i probably listen to that record several times a week, even after buying it 10 years ago in a little music store in boston. all is forgiven blows me away everytime. . . what a fuc*ing song. spilt milk is one of the best, easily top 20 records ever composed. how can you go wrong with that lineup? jon brion and workman are the perfect guitarists for that record. can someone please get andy sturmer to produce my band angiescreams?? i'll give you points!!
