I consider this to be Jethro Tull's finest work and "Budapest" to be their finest track.

This "Grammy" winner album is my personal favorite. The guitar is taking back its place in the basis of the Tullian harmony, after the long keyboard based period. "Budapest" is definatly one of the most beautiful ballads ever written by Ian Anderson.

The essential Tull album is popularly considered to be the masterpiece "Aqualung". Ancient history! Ian Anderson and co. outdid all their previous work with this exceptional album. From the opening track "Steel Monkeys" to the great closer "Raising Steam" (my favorite cut), a cohesive mixture of the classic Jethro Tull sound and modern studio technique touches on an impressive variety of styles. For those fans who think Tull became obsolete after "Heavy Horses", RECONSIDER!

I''ve followed Jethro Tull since 1972. But after Broadsword and the Beast was finding the product a bit ''boring'', maybe not the right word ''unadventurous'' or ''too introspective'', anyway this album brought me back and if anything I''m more into them now than 10 years ago. Best album after Songs from the Wood.
