Comments for Johnston, Freedy, never home

This Perfect World does turn out to be one of Freedy''s best, with breezy, carefree songwriting about interesting and difficult subject matter. His new one, Never Home, is not as good but still outshines most of what is out there in the pop world. I would recommend Can You Fly? also as this is where you can see the maturity of his writing and where he starts to come into its own. Does anyone write as naturalistically and unforced as this guy?!? The melodies and storylines just seem to drift into you ear, like a forgotten but familiar secret. What a beautiful talent!
