Comments for Joplin, Janis, In Concert

For a live album, sound quality is excellent.

A live album, the first 8 tracks were recorded with Big Brother and the Holding Company, and the last 6 with the Full Tilt Boogie Band. There are some really great tracks here, but Ball and Chain and Down On me are the same as on Greatest Hits. However, some of the chatter between songs is priceless. Janis still shines though as herself as she raps on everything from homeless poets to Toronto`s "blue laws."
