Great straight-ahead klezmer. Top notch clarinet, good violin and accordion, nice tenor banjo, solid tuba bass, and piano with panache where called for. Male vocals with feeling and humor. Most numbers up-tempo, including classy first track,aching comic lament Vot Ken You Do..., solo accordion medley and slightly staged but educationally informative wedding-concert finale (with a great beat). The requisite doina/bulgar medley is done by banjo with clarinet counterlines, and is by turns yearningly beautiful and tear-`em-up good.
