Comments for Kiss, Peter Criss

If you're looking for a "KISS" album, STAY AWAY! If you want some white boy R&B, you found it.

I really get sick of hearing all you punks say something sucks just because you don't have a clue about what you're talking about. Peter's background IS R&B. Just because he plays in a rock band doesn't mean he has to remain exclusive to that genre. I admit, his isn't my favorite of the solos, but it is still worth buying. Get your head out of your ass long enough to see that "heaviness" isn't a prerequisite to being a good album. Peter did what Peter likes to do: soulful, heartfelt songs. He did a good job of it, too. It never ceases to amaze me that you people can be so opinionated about things you apparently know nothing about.

Out all of the solo albums, the one who really made a solo album and NOT an extension of a KISS album is Peter. This album shows he speaks in a different music language than the rest of the 3. As it is, the album is strictly R&B soul and some Sinatra wannabees. Some of it is real embarrasing, as "That's the kind of Sugar Papa likes" and "Hooked on Rock&Roll". While others are mostly honest but forgettable attempts. Pete's is the most unlistenable of the bunch but at least, he took a chance.

At the first soudns, I thought this might be an interesting album. Then came the rest and it was drivel!
One of the 4 solo-lpīs which came out on the same day.

I give the ol' cat credit for putting out a truly un-Kiss-like album. Unfortunately, he forgot to bring the songs. This one's a stinker.

The Cat's best tune was "Baby Driver" from Rock and Roll Over. His solo album was garbage.
