Comments for Lauper, Cyndi, Hat Full of StarsE-MAIL: jamtown@wchat.on.ca This is Lauper's best album to date. It has the maturity of "A Night To Remember" with the raw edge of "She's So Unusual" Unfortunately, this album fell victim to a marketing night- mare. No one knew what singles were out and when, and no one could find them to buy them. Most of the world has no idea that she has a fourth albumE-MAIL: S.D.Hunt@warwick.ac.uk "Hat Full Of Stars" has many elements to it and many tracks that deserve more attention. "Thats What I Think" and "Product of Misery" are excellent swinging tracks, "Sally`s Pigeons" is a masterpeice, Cyndi sings this with the voice of an angel and I love "Dear John" but I don`t know why! The final songs of the album seem to lose the individuality that the first one`s enjoyed although it closes nicely with the beautiful title track. A personal album, it feels at times like one long jamming session. Much magic.Comments supplied by users do not necessarily reflect the opinions of Roadkill Consulting, Inc. |
