Comments for Levellers, Levelling the Land

E-MAIL: py94sjj@exeter.ac.uk
Original version of this album had the track Fifteen Years missing but this was updated early after release. Copies without this track are worth more. The Levellers are a folk/punk band from Brighton, England who started in about 1988 but didn't really make an impact until they played the Glastonbury Festival in 1992 where they were watched by an estimated 70,000 people. They are popular more in England and Europe but have branched out into the American market. They are called Charlie(drummer), Mark(guitarist), Jeremy(bass), Simon(guitar and mandolin) and Jon(fiddle).

excellent traditional folk/punk stuff. get on your horse and buy this album...it's been compared to 'london calling' and 'war'.

Quite simply a massive album. Great for summer days driving with the windows down. Summer evenings pissed on wine in the countryside. A fantastic live act, the album does not translate into how well they play live. They are the ultimate live band.
An excellent album from an excellent (but pretty unknown) band.
