Comments for Lillian Axe, Psychoschizophrenia

E-MAIL: MAGBerg@aol.com
Dallas band that is great live. Plays often in Big "D" and I cannot believe this band is not any bigger than it is. An SMU favorite. The tracks off of Psycho are tremendous! MG
E-MAIL: LAxe@aol.com
Definately one of their strongest albums by far! Last studio release for a while (NO they did NOT break up!) as the guys work on solo projects. If you'd like info on them e-mail me for details! :-) Chara
E-MAIL: seanrob@cossack.synapse.net
Lillian Axe continues to be one of the most underrated hard rock/metal acts around. Anyone who has listened to Psychoschizophrenia realized just how good this band really is. Support these guys! There cool :-)
E-MAIL: darren.lawson@osiris.sunderland.ac.uk
I agree with the other comments made about this ablum. It is very hard to believe that the group has not made it any bigger than they have. The day I met you is absolute classic. What more can you say but these guys are great.
E-MAIL: patch@tibalt.supernet.ab.ca
These guys need more exposure! Tell your friends! Tell your Mom!
E-MAIL: sampson@selway.umt.edu
This is an absolutely beautiful disc! Stevie Blaze's guitar wizardry is wonderful. These guys get better and better with time. The sad thing is nobody has heard of them. Heck, the only reason I bought it is because I read a favorable review. Everyone should experience the AXE!
E-MAIL: rasputin@airmail.net
This is a solid followup to the masterpiece. It has moments of beauty, but the overall feel carries more of an edge. The feel is much more serious than Poetic Justice.
E-MAIL: ZXDR60A@prodigy.com
Excellent....excellent......excellent. Stevie Blaize finally came close to realizing how gifted he is with the guitar and pen.

The best album by LA by far! Deep Freeze rocks! Stop the Hate is so powerful it is guaranteed to grab you. Needed more radio play other than Crucified!

I could never believe that so much intelligence could be put in a such simple music...After Psychoschizophrenia my life will never be the same...I need their next album!!!...;)

Definitely the most underrated band around. Great sound to their album. Deep freeze and Moonlight In Your Blood rock.
E-MAIL: scott.stratten@SheridanC.on.ca
Man, these guys are ten times better than Pantera!! I even broke my sunglasses singing one of their songs!!

Lilian Axe puts on one hell of a show! I saw them for the first time a few years ago at the Thirsty Whale near Chicago and I was totally amazed. Their music is better than 85% of the shit that gets played on the radio. However, few stores in Chicago carry L-A titles. Is there a mailorder catalog available to order from? Keep up the good work!! Pretty cool album. It's funny to see the lyrical content evolve from its early beginnings. Good live band too. I've seen Near Life Experience live as well and was impressed.

This is a definite album to have. Every song on this album is great! What more can I say? Buy it......the best album of 1993. Check out Stop The Hate and Those Who Prey. Lillian Axe fans write me at the above E-mail address. I'm Don..

From the group of us in Champaign, IL, Kevin (me), Keith, Wes, Mike, Craig, Stu, Jon, and many, many more...keep up the great work! We all appreciate the music and look forward to a lot more of it in the future!

The Japanese release of this album also contains the song Here Is Christmas (written and originally done by Ann and Nancy Wilson).
E-MAIL: david_marshall@bc.symaptico.ca
The album starts off brilliantly and grows weeker after the track Neddle and your pain. The first 3 track are by far and away some of the best progressive rock writing around. I think the album runs out of pop grooves after that. They try to be more than they are. I think Lillian Axe are talented and have progressed tons since the fisrt album but, they needed to go further with the progressieve meets glam ala Alice In Chains.

Psycho is one of the best albums ever released. Very comparable to EXTREME's III Sides To Every Story. The songwriting on Psycho is just phenominal!!!

My hat off to Lillian Axe (Ron , Stevie and everyone else). No complaints here. This record kicks ass to the max. I also own the vinyl and Japanese Version of Psycho. I've been a big fan for the 6-7 years and you guys have not let me down . I've seen them collectively about 25 times (along with the side projects Black Earth , Bonerhead , and Near Life Expierence) I owe a great debt of gratitude to ya'll for being one band that still knows how to get a crowd going. Cheers and here's to many more great records and things ahead for ya'll in the future. Jason Merito /Garland, TX.

Absolutely one of the best hard rock albums ever made. It's very hard to find the earlier albums - i only have Psycho. Can anyone tell me where to find these albums in Finland ? Jos joku Suomesta tietää mistä voisi saada bändin vanhempia levyjä kertokaa nyt helvetti ihmeessä!

Lillian Axe has always been a favorite of mine I really enjoy Psycho and Poetic Justice. I love their style of music which IS music..great vocals, guitar, and lyrics. Anyway I am glad to see that bands like Lillian, Dokken, Warrant, L.A. Guns etc continue to produce the style of music that they do and progress as musicians rather than trying to do what is commercial. Hang tough and keep rockin!
E-MAIL: Wolfes@uwplatt.edu
This bands mix of musical knowledge and mastery of instrumentals has put them intoan entirely new light. By far one of my all time favorite bands!
E-MAIL: axl@mail.internet.com.mx
lilian axe is great and this album really, really rocks. deepfreezze is the best song of lilian axe, and stevie blaze is my favorite guitar player he plays very clean, and ron taylor sings straight from the heart.

This album rocked my world! It is THE best Axe album I have ever heard!!!
E-MAIL: MGROOTNUEL@FREEMAIL.NL
Absolute the best album I ever heard, can't wait to see them get back together again! By the way, am I the only Lillian Axe fan in holland? Michael
E-MAIL: ovibush@aol.com
Psycho proves that Mr. Blaze is just an awesome guitar player. From Crucified to Needle and you Pain his vesatility is very impresive. I always thought that if Lillian Axe were heard by more people they would hve been one of the supergroups. Excellent Album!!!!!!!!!
E-MAIL: tormentyou@aol.com
Lillian Axe IS NOT a Dallas band!!! They are from New Orleans,La originally!! I realize the lead singer was or is from Dallas but the band started in New Orleans with Stevie Blaze!!!

NOT A WEAK TRACK ON THIS ALBUM . TIMING IS EVERYTHING AND IF THIS ALBUM HAD BEEN RELEASED 3 YEARS EARLIER , IT WOULD HAVE BEEN A MULTI - PLATINUM SELLER . I GUESS IT WILL REMAIN CULT FAVORITE TO THEIR TRUE FANS. ITS A REAL SHAME .
E-MAIL: n.jordan@btinternet.com
I know I keep repeating myself but this is another classic album. More original than their previous efforts - they now have a very distinct style of their own. I can't really pick out a favourite song from this album as it changes on every play. I hope their side projects don't stand in the way of another Lillian Axe album. Any fans E-Mail me, Neil.

What a perfect CD. From the beginning to the end an almost perfect CD. I heard Psycho.. at the car of a good friend of mine. The following day I drove to the CD-trader in my home tome. When I came in, I also heard the Lillian Axe CD at the whole store because they played this CD twice a day. Unbelievabel. And from that day I also bought all the Lillian Axe CD which were available. One question: Does anybody know if there are some Lillian Axe music-videos out! I only know, that there is a video out for "Show a little love". Pleas mail me if you know more!! Stay heavy!
E-MAIL: johnk@playboy.com
Psychoshizophrenia is the best album I've ever heard. This is not an exaggeration, just fact. I played 'The Needle and Your Pain' for a co-worker last year who had never heard them before and told her the story behind the song and the tears just flowed. 'Now You Know' really hits home. Every song is sonic perfection. JK

I don't know how most of you discovered Axe, but I first heard about them in a review in a smut magazine, I can't recall which one. Anyhow I found the CD (Psycho) at the record store and what a shock -- they are really fantastic! The music, lyrics, and production are all first-rate, so I'm thinking why haven't I heard of them before? If they ever come up to Michigan I will definitely plan to see them in concert. Hats off to a talented band that makes GREAT music!!
E-MAIL: redreign@juno.com
This guys are really talented it is sad to hear that this was their last album. I really think that Steve is a gifted guitarist and song writer. It is rare that you see someone writing about deep issues. I only wish that I had heard of LA earlier, now their first two albums are out of print and I can't find them. I have an extra copy of this on cd if anyone would like to trade it for something (maybe one of the first two cds).

There are so many bands around enjoying money and glory without deserving it.That would be ok if the really good bands had at least the same recognition...but they don't I am listening to this kind of music the last 13 years and i still can not accept the fact that there are still bands like lillian axe who are not as famous as they should be... LONG LIVE ALL THE GHOSTS OF CHRISTMAS
E-MAIL: moonr@tm.net.my
I am a mega fan of this crazy group and I am very dissapointed to see there's nothing for " the day i met you" column. Oh c'mon guyss....I beg you! even if you got their waves...please...please...please mail me...... I put my hopess for you! :Ž Patrina.

I have this album and "Poetic Justice" and "Love and War", and find this disc to be quite weak and annoying. I do not like modern alternative influences mixed in with my metal at all, and this is what this disc is essentially. I have trouble getting through the first 5 songs, much less the rest of the album. "Deepfreeze" is probably the best on the album, but its not saying much. By the time I get to "Sign of the Times" they have lost me. Too much distortion, and not enough clean crisp 80s melodic metal. The album has more in common with the grungier Warrant releases and Queensryche's "Hear in the Now Frontier" than Lillan's earlier efforts. For very die hards or modern music fans ONLY!
E-MAIL: abryant34@yahoo.com
"The Day I Met You" is to Lillian Axe what "Yesterday" was to the Beatles. I love this album. I'm still looking for a copy of "Love and War" on CD if anyone has any information. Thanks. Anthony Bryant

I didn't like this CD at first but the more I listened to it the more I loved it. Now I think it's awesome! Especially the songs "The Day I Met You", "Crucified", and "Deep Blue Shadows". Awesome!! Anybody that has this on CD and would like to sell it, please e-mail me!! Thanks!!

One of the best albums i've heard. the first album by this group but not the last. Psychoschizophrenia was the first album I heard, I have since located and bought Poetic Justice. I am interested in what the band is doing now and more recordings from the most exciting band I have ever heard.
E-MAIL: blaze@wmol.com
I worked with Lillian in 95-96 my favorite album was Poetic Justice, but slowly evolved to Psyco---, Moonlight in your blood is incredible. Psyco--- is a great album, shows much maturity and a slightly darker direction in some of the heavier material, for an even more darker side of stevie blaze check out his new album with NLE (near life experience) great band. Lillian also has a new album (tough to find) check paris records. keep rockin' Rob - Lillian axe

This is one great band. I first heard of these guys by accident when I bought "Poetic Justice". I bought this used tape because I thought they looked like something I would like. As I was listening to the album I realized that I had actually heard a song from them on the radio. I couldn''t believe it. Since then I stupidly passed up their S/T album and their "Out Of The Darkness" album. Then one day I went into a record store and asked a school mate who was working there if they had any new CRAP MUSIC. (That''s what he use to call my music I listened to). He then pulled out "PSYCHOSCHIZOPHRENIA" and gave it to me. As of today I''ve managed to find all five of their CDs except "Out Of The Darkness". I was wondering if anyone knows of an "Offering" by Lillian Axe. Mediaplay says it''s a CD that is out of print. Also, if anyone knows where or how I could get the lyrics to their S/T, Love And War, and Fields Of Yesterday albums please let me know. Lillian Axe fans are welcomed to thetyguy00@webtv.net
