I remember seeing these guys when I was in college, and damn were they cool. If you''re in the mood for some twisted punk junk, track this down.
Another debut swan song. Cincinnati band, famous for theirlocal influences.

Lizard 99 was a fantastic band, Pete's creative rhythms, Dave's punch in the face guitarwork, Jim's one of a kind vocals, and Sven's bouncy bass worked into a frenzy. They used dynamics, emotions, whatever they could to bring you into their music. Seeing them live was a treat, whether it was in a packed house, or a 3 person mosh-pit - they never failed to put on an excellent show, full of energy. This album is much more polished than their demo tapes that are around in various formats, well paced and showcases each of their talents, not thru solos, but rather as a cohesive package, Lizard 99.

saw these guys in oxford...in a very small rec-room kind of place. the singer had a bowl and some weed fall out of his pants...he handed it to me (as quickly as possible), and smoked me out after the show for doing it! i would love to be able to find this disc again....any info on where i might pick it up, email me at heyitsmejess@suscom.net. i would also love to find the bu bu klan release from around the same time!

I actually never saw Lizard 99 perform, however I did stay at their house once in Cincinnati. This is where I obtained the CD as it was given to me by the band. I stayed there Thanksgiving of ’91. I showed up at the house just before the band arrived from doing a gig. I was there visiting an old friend of mine, Victor Entropy (who is thanked by the band in the CD insert and is also known as Bryan Huff) lived in the attic of the band’s house and did some photography for them (some of which decorates the back cover of the album, if I am not mistaken). I have thoroughly enjoyed this CD and wish that Lizard 99 had more to offer. I guess we shall never see it.
