Comments for Loudness, Soldier of fortune

First Loudness album with the American singer Mike Vescera, not the best but not the worst either. Check it out if you want your hard rock with great guitars.

When I first got this album, it was given to me, and I swore that it would suck (I'm a big Nihara fan). But after years of listening, I love this album. It showed Loudness had courage (even if the decision to boot Nihara was corporate oriented!) to keep going, and Takasaki's work on this album rivals anything that he's ever done! P.S. Mike Vescera's voice kicks ass too.

this cd is a joke. corporate pressure to boot niihara and get a pretty boy front-man(mike vescera(spellin???)) crushed all hope of this cd ever getting any support from true loudness fans. the only bright spots ,like all loudness cd's, are akira's guitar "styling's",and munateka higuchi's stellar drumming(there new drummer could put a dead person to sleep). if you need this cd, like i did , to complete your collection then get it. if you want true loudness....my suggestion.... thunder in the east...lightning strikes...loudness(1992 with masaki yamada(ezo) ) the 1992 release is un-believable, akira is out of his mind...raging solo's great riffs, and all around great play make this one of my all time favorite disks. if you can find this cd(you gotta dig a lot) get it!!!!!!
