this whole album is incredible. half a life, am i wrong, wake up, and all of the harder yet melodic numbers are incredible. fans of the psychadelic furs and beautiful yet oddly strange music will rejoice. get this album. its great.

A good album, better than the last of the furs ,should lead to a bright future, alas the new guitarist can't touch Jon Ashton[what became of him?]

Beautiful, subdued album. Melancholic yet not depressing.

Following the last, brilliant, Furs records, the only way to go was completely different. Richard Butler is on top form on the stunning and style-shifting album. Any fan of Butler or the Furs or experimental guitar pop will enjoy this. A Must.

This is reaaly a great album. I am a big fan of The Furs but I think this album is better than any of the last four Furs albums.

I purchased the cd for 'Am I Wrong' and ended up listening to nothing else. The rest of the songs are really just demos that need more work.

When I first listened to the Love Spit Love CD, I was taken aback by the brilliance of "Am I Wrong." I also quite enjoyed "St Mary's Gate." I wasn't too impressed with the others, though, so I sold the CD. However, in the wake of a revitalised interest in the Furs, I decided to try LSL again and was blown away! I don't know how I couldn't hear the songs before, but they're all great! As is vocalist Richard Butler, who stands next to Robert Smith and Morrissey as my favourite singers. LSL's version of "How Soon Is Now" (The Craft CD) is not to be missed either--even for hardcore Smiths fans!

Being a huge fan of The Psychedelic Furs I was astounded when I was able to hear Love Spit Love perform at the distributors' conference in Seattle, WA, in 1994 before the release of this album. There is no filler in the entire 50 minutes and, thankfully, the CD did justice to the live performance. I had the chance to hang out and chat with the band and they were simply charming. I've sent snippets to friends and they all agree. I'm impatiently waiting for more to follow...

This is a superb album - does anyone know if LSL are going to release anymore.

The more I listen to this CD, the more I like it; it's really grown on me. First track I heard was "Am I Wrong" - great song! I enjoy listening to the variety of musical arrangements and instruments, and, as always, the vocals. I've always loved Richard Butler's voice, throughout the Psychedelic Furs years to the present. LSL's version of "How Soon Is Now" is a standout. Different take than the Smiths' original, but one that is equally valid. Looking forward to more...

Richard Butler never fails to be amazing. Just as Book of Days surprised some because of the total change, so will this album. The man has talent and then some!

Having been a Furs fan for many years...i was totally amazed that Richard could come up with this gem!! Most lyricists dry up by there 4/5 l.p. but Butler seems to go from strength to strength. I think "wake up" and "Green" are my favourites but just buy it and listen......incidently, being based in Uk, i haven't heard much about them...no reviews, live dates... nothing....so if ANYONE has any news please get in touch. I'd like to find out the main man's address for an interview for "Record Collector"...so any leads pass thm on. Thanks.

Pease, someone, give me the lyric of the song "Am I wrong"
E-MAIL: mkelly@ziplink.net
This is an amazing album. The songs go in so many different directions: rockers, ballads, country-folk, cabaret-style, and "More" which is unclassifiable. It is entirely possible that Butler`s best work is still ahead of him.

ANYONE HAVE REAL LYRICS TO "Am I Wrong"? Please email me with them. Really like what RB is doing now. Next work should be out in a couple of weeks(Sept. 5, 1997+/-) Looking forward to it.

What a refreshing treat I had when this debut came out in 94. Frankly, I was discouraged by the last couple of Furs albums. But Richard has rekindled my interest with this album...excellent, I wore out my cd!!
Lead vocalist, Richard Butler, and his brother Tim (Bass)Both formerly of "The Psychedelic Furs"
