Comments for Lynch, Ray, Nothing Above My Shoulders but the Evening

This album is aportrayal of Ray Lynch`s feelings abouthuman existence. He says, "the mind filtersout so much of our humanity. Great art, if weparticipate fully in it, gives permission tofeel, and creates a space in which we canfeel at a depth not ordinarily allowed."The title is simply a poetic way ofsaying this. He adds, "if one is headless, ifthe conceptual mind (with its strategies ofsurvival), is temporarily suspended, then oneis left with the `evening`, a space in whichthe depth and real meaning of musicalgestures can be more readily perceived andfelt." This album features guitars, flute, violin, cello, oboe, viola, piano, French horn,English horn, trumpet and keyboards. Ray Lynch`s home page -- http://www.raylynch.com
