Comments for MADONNA, Like a Prayer

E-MAIL: cnbp06@strath.ac.uk
Her most autobiographical work till now. Controversy with Like A Prayer video. Express Yourself has become one of her greater classics. Oh Father is one of the better Madonna's videos ever. Dear Jeesie was single in europe and oh Father in USA. Cherish was the third single of the album. Keep it together was the last single of the album and was released only in the USA, and in the beginig Vogue was writen to be the B side of this song (no video availible)

Need I say anything about this work of art? This is a true classic. Highlights include Love Song w/ Prince and Keep It Together, which was inspired by Sly and The Family Stones' Family Affair.

Fantastic album. I''m not a fan of Madonna''s whole body of musical work, but this album is a work of art. "Promise to Try" is very moving, as is "Till Death Do Us Part," in its own way. My favorite track is "Express Yourself"...it has a fun Motown quality, as does "Cherish." The autobiographical angle to a lot of these songs is most impressive. Anyone doubting her talent as a songwriter and singer need look no further.
