I also bought this CD after seeing Wynton in concert, and taking him to breakfast. I totally see where he is coming from when he writes much of the stuff in this album. I especially like the track "The holy ghost" I think it''s called. It has all the components to make great jazz music.

Wynton Marsalis is the modern king of jazz and it shows in thissoulful jazz recreation of an African-American church servicein which Marsalis makes his horn shout, growl, and even soundlike a ram call. This recording is a must for any seriousjazz listener.
