Comments for Art of Noise, The Seduction of Claude Debussy

A welcome return to the scene by this singular group of people. This is an awesome album. Imagine `Debussy to a Disco Beat`, then add John Hurt as a Richard Burtonesque narrator, and then add a rap over the top- deliciously mixed. Or, take a sexy French lyric underpinned by sexily sighing synths, punctuated by thunderstorms and opera-singers. A must for all instrumental-`rock` lovers.
They're back, and they're as good as ever. A little like their excellent "In No Sense? Nonsense!" in that the tracks flow together to create a luscious whole. Guest appearences throughout by soprano Sally Bradshaw and narrator John Hurt give the album a fully-formed, cohesive feel and make this an essential purchase for anyone who loved the Art Of Noise in the 80s (or who loves Debussy, for that matter!)
