Comments for Move, Move: Greatest Hits Vol.1

This is good stuff, very "underground" & underheard but cool late 60's somewhat mod music. "Hello Suzie" is especially good.

This greatest hits doesn''t do justice to their power-pop 60''s material. You are much better off with the BBC Sessions and the self-titled 1st album which come with tons of bonus tracks. Roy Wood might have been the best pop song writer ever. Yes, I''ve heard of Lennon and McCartney. But The Move were THAT GOOD. (Just avoid Message From The Country)
Good vinyl collection of the group which evolved into the Electric Light Orchestra. A good showcase for young Roy Wood, perhaps the best known member of this five man British combo. Other members include Carl Wayne, Trevor Burton, Ace Kefford and Bev Bevan. Kefford and Buerton left the group and were replaced by Rick Price and Jeff Lynne. This album would be interesting to ELO fans.
