Released back when record companies still put up hard rock records, this album features a very soulful and honest band. Great guitars, drums and horns, but the main credit goes to the bass and vocal parts. They did not hit the spotlight. Do they care? Check out the last track of the CD, do it all over again, a driving crossover between hard rock and bossa nova (?) to find out. And forget about their 2nd album, pigs. This is the cream of the pie.

They shoulda kept their singer for PIGS and stayed closer to original style.

Headbangers Ball early 90s band. Poof! What happened. Oh well. I just remember the name not the music. Just as well. So I won't cast a rating.

I have never heard of asphalt ballet. But on july 26 I got to see Alligator stew open for Lynyrd Skynyrd in Rno Neveda and they kicked some ass. they are probably one of the best live bands I have seen in a while.The whole band party with me and my friends at the Hilton.They are great guys and great musicans.

i saw alligatorstew on aug31 at indiana beach in monticello indiana met garry for the first time hes got a lot of heart found that out when he played (my uncles genes les paul. thank you so much garry scott allen u guys r awsome!!!!!!!!!!!!!

Asphalt was one of the greatest bands of all time. They were robbed from that title when grunge came in. The won headbangers ball 7 times. Beating tesla,coc,the cult,infectious grooves,and I cant remember who else. This cd still rocks. I appreciate all the comments that have been written on this site about asphalt ballet. Its been almost 10 years and I still do interviews for Asphalt Ballet. Thanks Gary Jeffries(the first singer on the debut cd)peace!
