This album was voted pick of the bunch by Cross Rhythms magazine. I would not quite go that far but it is a very good album. I like Elle g in particular, which is a song about a woman who commits suicide and the effects that it has on friends and family. Shine has wonderful lyrics about how Christians should stand out so that non-Christians wonder what they're missing. Shine - make them wonder what you got, make them wish that they were not, on the outside looking bored.

Truth & Consequences is absolutely awesome! The lyrics say quite a bit about intentions vs. reality. Too many time we see the results after the problem. It really makes you think!

I like it. It's rather short, clocking in at about 35 minutes, but each song is short and sweet. "Spirit Thing" is definately my favorite, because it really helps to describe how the Holy Spirit works, even when we don't understand Him. Overall, I think it's a marvellous effort and I hope they keep putting out quality albums. Brandon Ellis

This is a great album. Producer Steve Taylor cowrote the lyrics to every song, with wonderful results. I especially like Elle G. and Truth and Consequences, although you have to love Shine.

This CD really changed my life. I am a completely different person now. I want to kill myself, I think life sucks. The song Elle G really helped me to realize this. Thank you Newsboys! Well it is off to Death Net for me. There are some really cool suicide methods in there. See you in Hell Newsboys!

I think that Going Public is an excellent album. "Shine", based on Matthew 5:16, "In the same way,let your light SHINE before men, that they may see your good deeds and praise your Father in heaven", is a creative way of expressing the change that takes place when we take the time to share Christ with others. Truth and Consequences is a great song about abtinence (The chorus says:let's talk about real life truth and consequences and coming to our senses and lies we'd best unlearn;let's talk about real love truth and propaganda are you really gonna stand for love that waits it's turn?). My favorite song on the album is Elle G. The song itself is full of meaning, and I love the bass! This album was a fantastic effort on the Newsboys part!

Going Public is my favorite Newsboys CD. What great and original music!!! The lyrics are great (due to a certain Mr. Taylor) and the music is very original. Elle G. rules. It's so real. And then you have to love the music on Spirit Thing and Lights Out. Anyone who doesn't have this CD, go and buy it!!

This is an awesome album! Not only is it the first that Jeff Frankenstein worked on, but the music is relly fun and the lyrics are deeper than their previous releases.

This is an inconsistent, yet marvelous effort by this Christian band. They probably have the best chance of evangelizing successfully to todays alternative youth culture. Somebody's got to do it! I really admire half the songs on this CD, the other half I could certainly live without. The range of styles these guys are capable of is quite amazing, though. In my humble opinion, the best tracks are "Spirit thing", "Going Public", and "Elle G". The Newsboys rock!

WooHoo! Da bestest album! Truth and Consequences is the bestest song in the UNIVERSE! It rules! And the rest of them just blow your mind when you read the lyrics...you can tell the boyz really look into this stuff, they don''t just scribble a bunch of junk down on paper. The CD would be awesome even if they just READ the words, it''s that great! And the music would rule without any lyrics, as well! =:)
