Comments for Newsboys, Step Up To The Microphone

The Newsboys have definently changed their sound. Whether it is for better or for worse is a topic being debated wothout resolve. WooHoo , Truth Be Known, and Entertaining Angels are the standout songs on this album. There is a lighter feel with this album, an attempt to make the perfect alterna-pop sound. The edginess from TMTYL has disappeared, but this Furlers and Joels smooth poppy vocals are the substitute. The lyrics are more serious, straight up, well crafted and intelligent. If you were not a Newsboys fan before, this might just be the album that makes you a fan. Get it now.

I saw the Newsboys in concert, and I especially liked the song Entertaining Angels, but I still prefer the sound of TMTYL.

The NEWSBOYS are my FAVORITE group, and I don't care what other people say , I know God uses them.
