A truly great album. A must-have for all NIN fans,

Hard Rock. Sure. I can just see NIN up on a 20-foot-high stage, jammin' with Whitesnake. Anyway, this is a great album, by far the best tracks are the last two (98 & 99) You'd be surprised how many people own the cd and don't know about them! NIN rules!

This is an _awesome_ record. One to trash the room to! Crank up "Wish" or "Last" and annoy the neighbours (and parents!)

This is one of the best discs that I have ever listened to. I guess you can call this industrial, but calling it just that would be unfair. There is melody and solid lyrics which hint at what would be found on "The Downward Spiral". If you like loud, violent music, buy this disc.

A personal fav b/c of the metal edge. One of their harder albums.

Trent sounds pissed off all the time because his first record company, TVT, didn't let him make another record for like 3 years. He had to make his own record label to do another one in time. And no, I didn't hear any whispers at the end of Help Me I Am In Hell. To tell all of you the truth, this is my LEAST favorite NIN album. It's so friggin SHORT. Without 98 and 99 it would kind of be a joke. "Wish" is one of my fav. NIN songs, but I don't like NIN to do another one like this, because I'm from the PHM era, and enjoy the machine's constant hatred toward everyone that's hurt it (God, girlfriends). And everyone interprets "Broken", the name of the album, to be a reference to either the broken quality of music done purposefully in some parts on tracks, or that the numbers of tracks 8 and 9 are 98 and 99 instead. Neither are true. It's Trent's SOUL that was broken, his mind and his thoughts, and halo six, all of that was "Fixed".

Great and bombastic industrial music.Classical-like instrumentals like Pigdom Come,noisy ones like Private War,and very intense songs ...
