This fucking song sucks. I agree with Trent! Please, accept the fact that this song and other NIN songs will be slain by the airwaves and the corporate machines which are currently present in our society. But, we the true fans know what it really means and there will always be sacred tracks!

Jesus Christ! How much of closer can a guy take? Just one sitting of closer bores me. I mean, its nin so it has to be godly but this has to be one of my least favorites. Every time i sit down to listen to the spiral I always find myself skipping closer. I like heresy and march of the fuckheads is interesting so I still had to buy it but give me a break!

And another thing. Am I the only one who's getting tired of all these people who pretend to be Trent??

Sorry but I have yet another complaint. The last time I checked, CDs that have one song 10 times over again and maybe one or two others thrown in are called singles. I mean, when was the last time you heard of an album that only had one freakin song on it?!?!

If the material you find on singles was so great, it would have been on an album...Closer to god, Heresy(blind) and closer(deviation) are worth a listen though

I actually quite like some of the Remixes of this song.. The Song, closer itself is Far from being my favorite NIN song. He just did a very good job with some of the Reworkings on it. My favorite track out fo them all is Memoribilia though.. Mmm Soft Cell =]

Everyone that criticises this ablum isn't a true NIN fan. You guys probably jumped on the NIN bandwagon like everyone else after Woodstock. If you were truly into NIN, you would see that this album has some great tracks on it, noticibly the first four. I'm not just some top 40 listener that bought this album because I heard closer on the radio, I have most of NIN's album's, and I bought this knowing that Trent doesn't put any crap in the stores. If you're one of the fucknuts that bought this CD, and then proceeded to bitch about how you can't listen to closer anymore, then why the fuck did you buy this in the first place? What are you too fuckin' stupid to realize what was on this album? NIN rocks. Trent rocks. This album rocks. 'Nuff said.

For God's sake, Trent should've made halo nine something other than Closer, and I don't care what that guy above with the big paragraph says. Personally, Trent should've stopped being an adrenaline gas station for awhile, and put together all of the soft spots on "The Downward Spiral" CD, like the beginning of MSD, the cool drums in the background of Piggy, the light piano in the quieter parts of March of the Pigs, the end of Closer, A Warm Place in a ten-minute exte- nded version, the start of Eraser, more Reptile, and a no- words Hurt. Be a nice change from albums like Fixed and Broken. No offense, and I ain't no femme, but Trent, our hero, could've taken the time out to make a single that WOULDN'T make our ears bleed.

whoever posted that this album sucks is definitly a non NIN fan. They are those who only appreciate NIN for closer and the perfect drug. I think they are cool remixes and the new songs are awesome as well. Closer is not the best NIN song. So if you are buying this just for closer you obviously have no taste for vareity.
