Comments for Nine Inch Nails, further down the spiral

Hmm... the UK release has only ten tracks (and not all the tracks listed here). I _do_ like this album but it just hasn't got the same impact as TDS. Also, Mr Self Destruct seems to have been overdone a bit.. remixes of other songs would have been nice. Anyway, all this aside it is definately worth the cheaper-than-normal asking price.

eh? Which one wasn't on the UK release? I just ask out of curosity. -[GTO/CORE]

The UK version excludes Self Destruction (Part Two), Hurt (Quiet), Eraser (Polite), The Beauty Of Being Numb and Erased (Over, Out). It has these 4 extra tracks - Self Destruction (Part 3), Heresy (Version), Hurt (Live) and Ruiner (Version). Having picked up the U.S. version earlier today, I prefer the UK version because it has a bit more variety. I must agree that Hurt (Quiet) is almost identical to TDS version. Just my humble little opinion though! I love the scream on TDS (The Bottom) though - sends chills down the spine!

If you listen to track 11, you'll hear long drawn out screaming. If you listen closer you notice it isn't screaming at all. Seek the CD foward through the song while listening to it, and you'll notice that he is saying "erase me" over and over again.

Would somebody please list all of the tracks on the uk version of this album? I heard a different version of piggy(nothing can stop me now) on zrock the other night and it was like a live version or something, and i was wondering if it waz on the uk version of further, or if itz on a different cd altogether.

Also, you said you love the scream on tds(the bottom). The screams are on the regular version of tds, not the bottom.

After having heard both the UK and US versions I couldn't believe that the US version didn't have Heresy(version) and Ruiner(version), those have a more "techno" vibe to them, I'd kill to hear Ruiner(version) in the local club :)

I love you all even though youre all going to hell heeeheehee :)

At first, I thought "The Downward Spiral" meant going down in a circular curve through the depths of hell after just killing yourself, and making it seem kind of pleasant and relaxing, but then after listening to the track with the same name on halo eight, I realized it was about slipping down into the nasty and confused and hopeless-24-hours-a-day attitude known as depression. Hey, I'm only fifteen.

Hey Jesus Christ ... what the hell's up with this perfect kingdom of killing suffering and pain? Huh? Tell me. Hell sounds like a much nicer place than this, so piss off.

Im hole head but im more of a cunt head. I have been brainwashed nin sucks. I want to fuck myself like an animal.
Hmm. I`m writing this after listening to this CD only once,so my analysis of it will probably change, but there it is.the downward spiral (the bottom) is quite a bit longer.hurt (quiet) sounds an awful lot like the original from of tds.Is any one else getting tired of hurt? I sure am. They play italmost every morning on the radio.at the heart of it all is a random instramental type, dark.to be honest I thought mr self destruct was kind of tediousthese remixes arn`t bad tho...All and all a good CD. If you like NIN, and you must: get it.- [GTO/CORE]
