Comments for Offspring, The, Americana

If you liked Smash, you'll like this too. Not quite up to the standard of Smash, but nevertheless a great album.

No hero is a superb track. The whole album is really good.

I think that this Offspring album is better than Smash. The songs Kick Him When He's Down and LAPD rule. A must album for any real Offspring fan. Also check out the 1st Offspring LP (Offspring), if you can find it. It is real cool!

enh. The Offspring are cool. I liked smash better tho, but both CDs have a nice place in my collection.

Much better than Smash.

The Ignition tracks have more different sounds than the ones in Smash (Dirty Magic doesn't sound like anything in Smash, for example), but overall, it's not quite as good. Still a good buy, tho.

The Ignition Album from Offspring is great. But I am interested in getting the lyrics. If anyone has them can they please post me a copy? The original album didn't come with them. LAPD, Burn it up are good songs and so is NO Hero. I recommend buying this album if you're into Grunge.

In Boston, "Kick Him When He's Down," got some airplay, and that's why I got the album. That track is definitely up to Smash standards. The rest is, well, it is good, but I get the feeling that they brought some old, previously unreleased material and just re-recorded it. It's good, yes, but it doesn't carry the same edge that "Kick.." and Smash have. I'd give it 7.5, assuming Smash is a 10.0.

If the Offspring were any cooler they would have to be taken to heaven right away because they are already perfect. Any one who says otherwise has no bussnes being on the internet in the first place!!!(if the Offspring are out there i would just like to say hi).

This album is totally awesome! I like every song on it, but No Hero is my fav.
