Comments for Quarterflash, Girl in the Wind

E-MAIL: crose1955@aol.com
Harder-edged and more rock and roll than the band's mellower 80's efforts, with guitar-driven melodies and hooky refrains in the production style of Desmond Child (Cher, Robin Beck, Alice Cooper).

This album is dated 1991 and is very beautiful, expecially LET SOMEBODY LOVE YOU. Where are now Quarterflash? Where are Rindy Ross and Marv Ross? Rindy, your voice is wonderful! Marv, your songs are woderful!

I listen to my four QF albums constantly. I even have the Fast Times at Ridgemont High and Nightshift soundtracks which have one QF song each. I can't get enough of their sound and especially Rindy's voice. Come back - make more albums. Please.

Really enjoy the band. Anybody know where I can get this one on CD? Please Email me. Very under estimated group and Rindy is a real talent.

I own and love Quarterflash, Take Another Picture and Back Into Blue, but I could never get a bead on this mysterious 4th album until I saw this web site. I just found out Tower Records in Hollywood can order it and I am going in tonight to place my order! I saw Quarterflash open for Elton John on their first tour, and I have been a fan since! Great band, wish I could see some concert listings for them in my local paper! Come back Quarterflash! -Dave

I noticed that this album was given an American index number (Epic compact disc EK 44330) on the All Music Guide. I also have never found an American version of this album...but does it exist nevertheless?

Quarterflash is the best, most underrated, band. Since their debut in 1981, their music has become more powerful and meaningful. I am one of the lucky few that owns a CD copy of "Girl In The Wind." I found it several years ago at a store in Pittsburgh, PA. Haven't seen it since. An unbelievable album, especially "Diamond In The Rough." I wish they had received more support from the record company. Wish they'd continue on...

I agree. I ordered this album from Finland a couple of weeks ago. It was very hard to find, but very worth-while. I also have a copy of the unreleased album they did in 1995 and material they did in the early eighties that are not available on any of the bands albums! I really enjoy Rindy's powerful voice and saxaphone style.

hello. If anyone does not know, Quarterflash played their last gig at The Bite two years ago. Great show, opened with Love as a Last Resort from the Girl in the Wind CD. I have yet to hear anything about them since. They did not say why that was the last show. Marv Ross continies to work in the Portland music scene, I think he is producing. His name pops up in the paper every once in a while.

I have been a Quarterflash fan ever since their first album. I even got to meet Rindy in the mid 80s. One thing tho, I don't have this last album. Please help me find one!

I too am a hugh Quarterflash fan. My luck has been incredible because a music store in Middle Tennessee was able to find "Girl in the Wind" on C.D. for me for only ten dollars. I believe that it is one of their best albums. Diamond in the Rough and Without You are by far my two favorites. Quarterflash , please come back!!!!!

Saw the group open up for Elton John in July 1982, put on incredible preformance...Was I impressed. Bought the first two and won the next two off ebay Recently persued and won HBO video and rarities compilation. The last thing was greatest hits...very lasting impression.
quarterflash just came to my hometown, LaGrande,OR. I got to meet the band and members and have it on video-Later that night, the band(minus Rindy)came into the club my band plays in. I had the honor of jammin with them for about 4 or 5 songs and even sang "crazy" while they backe me up. It was awesome! They were all so nice and we had a blast. I'd love to contact the band if anyone knows any of their email addresses, pleast let me know- Deb---sing_97850@yahoo.com
