R.E.M. Has Made yet another wonderful record. I especialy enjoy EVERYBODY HURTS. The Orchestra arrangement is beautiful.

i like it

I like this album very much, except for the song Ignoreland. It makes me remember some old music from the 70's. Unfortunately, it seems that they changed their way for less melodic musics with the album Monster.

Worth every penny!

Everybody disagrees with me, but I find this to be their least inspired album. They're just going through the motions (except for Stipe, it's really just his album alone). The rest of the band sounds bored. However, Everybody Hurts is a good song *if* you add cannon shots aka 1812 overture!

I'd like to hang Michael Stipe from the highest tree for inflicting crap like this on the human race.

It is certainly not one of their best releases but I still like it...

Their best album, possibly excepting "Murmur". Achingly beautiful and truly inspired. Those who disagree are obviously wrong.

Automatic For The People can be called easy listening. It is their softest sounding LP, but this is good. Stipe carries it on nature alone, without rocking all that hard. The subtle power of the music is all you need. Automatic For The People is simply a wonderful album.

This is a beautiful, beautiful album by a beautiful group. It is perfect in very way. It evokes feelings that overwhelm. Just brilliant.

i'LL DRIVE TO THE FAIR I HAVE PLENTY OF GAS

This is R.E.M.'s second best album(as of 1995) and one of the only releases of the 90's, and 80's, for that matter, or hell, even the latter 70's, that can lay claim to one of the classic records of all time.

A beautiful record. Every track is sublime. Anyone who thinks of topping themselves should listen to Everybody hurts. After that they will see their lives in a different light
