Comments for R.E.M., The Best of R.E.M. 1991

Okay, all you R.E.M. fans out there, get over it: I’ve only heard ONE song by them, namely “Losing My Religion,” but I’m convinced. Deeply. I was working on a song which I ended up titling “The One I Love” because I couldn’t think of a better title to give it, but when I checked on Napster to see if anyone else had used this title and discovered it was R.E.M. (whatever that means), I was like, “Oh, man!” But no time for that. I was convinced, anyway, into breaking out of my Bocelli-Brightman routine and experiencing more than just those two. I already have 4 song files by these guys on Napster: “The Great Beyond” (from the 1999 Man on the Moon motion picture, their latest business), “The One I Love,” “It’s The End of the World As We Know It (And I Feel Fine),” and of course “Losing My Religion” and am planning on trying for their duet with U2, namely “One.” I had a feeling these guys ALREADY had a best-of collection during their prime. Time for an “ultimate R.E.M. collection.”
